In this article, we'll present 13 tips and tricks to clean your bedroom with ease. Never let your room get messy again, and make cleaning fun with these hacks!

13 Bedroom Cleaning Hacks to Make Cleaning Fast and Easy

#1 Baking Soda is Your Best Tool

One of the most efficient bedroom cleaning hacks is to use baking soda. Use this ingredient to deodorize and dry clean your fabrics, or create a paste with vinegar for a stronger stain remover. This ingredient is a staple in bedroom cleaning, and can be used to dry clean carpets, pillows, mattresses, and more, while deodorizing them at the same time.

#2 Vinegar is an Effective Stain Remover

Make vinegar an essential part of your bedroom cleaning! Vinegar can be used to remove stains on carpeting, bedding, furniture, and other soft fabrics. Simply spray a mixture of vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio to discolored spots, and blot out the stain with a towel. Let it air dry, and the stain should be completely gone!

#3 Hydrogen Peroxide to Clean Mold and Mildew

Got mold problems? Get rid of those pesky mold stains and mildew smells with hydrogen peroxide. Add hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle, and use it diluted or undiluted to clear the mold from your furniture, bedding, drains, or sinks! Just spray it, leave it, and brush away the dead mold. Hydrogen peroxide also acts as an effective disinfectant.

#4 Vacuum Instead of Sweep

Sweeping takes time and energy, yet you can't get all the debris out. Vacuuming your messy bedroom, especially if you have wall to wall carpeting, would clean your room fast! Simply run the vacuum cleaner over every inch of your bedroom, and you'll get a thorough clean with minimal effort!

#5 Mop and Disinfect with a Steam Mop

For a 2-in-1 cleaning action, use a steam mop on your hardwood floors. The steam will deep clean and disinfect the floors, while the mop head removes the grime. It's like doing two chores in one! As an added bonus, most steam mops have upholstery and flat attachments so you can use it as a steam cleaner for furniture and other surfaces too.

#6 Use Your Microfiber Mop and Tongs to Dust Blinds

That microfiber cloth that you place on your floor mop can be used to dust your venetian blinds. Fit the damp cloth over each tong, then use it to easily wipe each blind clean. You don't even have to take the blinds down, and you'll only need to wash the dirtied cloth and tongs afterwards! You can use sponges or an old pillowcase instead of mop heads as well.

#7 Create Your Own Room Spray

Make your own room freshener using essential oils, fruit peels, and herbs! Mix together 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol, 2 cups of water, 10-20 drops of lavender, lemon, or other essential oils, lemon or orange peel, and a couple of sprigs of rosemary, thyme, or other herbs. Voila - a room spray that is completely natural and fragrant!

#8 Use a Tennis Racket to Dust Rugs

Take your rug outside and hang them on a clothesline. Dusting your rugs by pounding it with a tennis racket is an oldie but goodie hack, and saves a lot of time from washing your rugs. Keep hitting the rug to shake all the dust out of it.

#9 Make a Bleach Pen for Spot Stains

Take a washable marker that no longer works, and soak the pen tip and ink cartridge in water. Squeeze out the excess ink, and soak in a vat of chlorine bleach until the tip and the cartridge are both filled with bleach. Use this bleach pen to remove spots and stains in a jiffy without having to wash your white fabrics!

#10 Use a Dryer Sheet for Static-free Wiping

Having a problem with static charged surfaces? Use a dryer sheet to wipe away the dust while removing that static charge! You can use a dryer sheet on both soft and hard surfaces, and the sheet may be used dry or slightly damp. They leave a pleasant scent on bedding too!

#11 Shake Dust Out of Plush Toys with a Basket

You can shake the dust out of plush toys by placing all the toys in a large basket, like a laundry basket, and sprinkle some baking soda over them. Vigorously shake the basket outdoors to shake off the dust as the baking soda picks up the particles, clumping them together.

#12 Use a Lint Roller on Curtains

A lint roller is perfect to use on curtains as it picks up pet hair, dust bunnies, and debris better than any damp cloth. Just roll the sticky side on your curtains, and peel off the dirtied sheet once you're done. You don't even have to do the extra work by taking your curtains down!

#13 Diluted Dish Soap is the Ultimate All-purpose Cleaner

Create a spray with 2-3 tablespoons of liquid dish soap and clean water for an all-purpose spray that can be used on any surface: from hardwood floors, to windows! Use a microfiber cloth to wipe the solution clean after applying, and you'll marvel at how easy it is to get the grime out!

Need a safe and effective disinfectant? Mix together equal amounts of rubbing alcohol and water with a couple of drops of liquid dish soap, then soak an entire paper towel roll in it for disinfectant wipes that are inexpensive yet efficient!
